Daniel John Ford Padilla, popularly known as Daniel Padilla, is a Filipino actor and recording artist. He is a talent of ABS-CBN and Star Magic, and currently stars as Gino in the primetime Filipino drama Princess And I.
On May 28, 2012, he released his debut self-titled album, Daniel Padilla. The album has six tracks with the carrier single Hinahanap-hanap Kita which is also featured in his primetime show Princess And I. According to Star Records producer Jonathan Manalo, Daniel's debut album "flew off the shelves" and sold more than 10,000 copies in less than a week.
On June 17 of the same year, Daniel was given a Gold Record Award for the outstanding sales of his debut album, proving the phenomenal popularity of the teen actor. Boy Abunda has been quoted into saying that "In 5 years, Daniel Padilla is going to be one of the biggest stars of Philippine showbiz". Apart from high ratings for his show and a gold award for his album, his mall shows around the country also pull in a lot of fans. Reportedly, one of these shows was even cancelled due to a stampede threat.
In less than a month, he is again part of another album, Love Songs from Princess and I, which is the official soundtrack of his primetime show. He has two singles in the album, Hinahanap-hanap Kita and Gusto Kita, which he sings with his co-stars Khalil Ramos and Enrique Gil.
