Candice Rickelle Glover (born November 22, 1989) is an American singer who rose to fame as the winner of the 12th season of the U.S. reality-singing competition American Idol. The first female winner of the show since Jordin Sparks won in 2007, Glover is the fourth African-American winner in American Idol history, and the only winner to have auditioned three times before being cast for the live shows.
