He learnt to play the drums at age 12 and picked up the guitar a few years later, heavily influenced by folk artists like Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens. More recently he has learnt some keyboards as well and, on some recent recordings, plays all instruments. His first bands were 'The Visions', while still at school, and three-piece 'Heartland' in his late teens/ early 20s. He started writing his own music in the early 1990s, at the same time playing drums for the band 'Orpheus' (a successful Sydney band now called 'The Camels'). After putting music on hold for a number of years while building a career in finance, he re-ignited his passion for music in 2006 by completed and recording his his first solo album, the self-titled 'Bruce Low'. This was released in November 2006 on the independent label, Creative Pursuits. Bruce Low ended his music career and became an equities analyst and portfolio manager. Read more on Last.fm.
