1. Blue Velvet is a synthwave duo from Peru, consisting of Antonio Ballester & Noelia Cabrera.
2. Blue Velvet, named after the cultfilm from David Lynch, was formed in 2004 in the classic way: six friends from school decided to form a band. Their average age back then was about 16 years old and their repertoire contained covers from artists like Pearl Jam, the black crowes and talking heads. While playing these covers in bars and clubs in Volendam they slowly added songs of their own. Nowadays Blue Velvet built their own repertoire with songs of their own. They released their first album, called PUSH!, on the 18th of June 2011. Blue Velvet are: Jan de Witte (vocals/guitar), Nick Schilder (guitar/vocals), Peter Steur (keyboards), Kees Mol (guitar), Ramon Tol (drums), and Erik Veerman (bass guitar).
3. Blue Velvet was born in 1999 from the meeting between Dohg (electro voice, guitar and programming) and Andy Head (electro guitar). The basic philosophy of those musicians was to take inspirations from the industrial music already in commerce like Ministry, NIN, Einsturzende Neubauten, ecc... but with new characteristics. Lately new members took part in the band: Malcom11 (bass and programming) and DarkendDawn (drum and electronic drum). With this new members the Blue Velvet produced in 2006 the definitive album "The Third", that shocked the critics of many Italian music magazines such like "Grind Zone", "Ascension magazine". In the same time the Label "Koldfinger" decided to take care of the band and their worldwide distribution. After a large series of concerts performed in 20 months, the band started to work to the new Electronic album, named "Rotation", that will be in shops at the end of 2009. Nowadays The Blue Velvet are working on new material.
4. Blue Velvet was formed by guitarist Daniel Salas and bassist Joseph Krupa in a bedroom in 2010. They released their first EP "Human Smear" in the spring of 2011. The lo-fi recording draws influence from bands such as Pavement and Sonic Youth. In the summer of 2011, Jordan Fogle joined the band on drums and Nick Flitton joined as a second guitarist. Their second EP, "Onward, Pacifica" was released in the fall of 2011.
5. Ayana (彩菜) and Shuichi Aoki (青木秀一) formed the unit Blue Velvet in 2002. They have released 4 albums and 2 singles so far. Their last release was in 2004 and they played occasional live shows until 2008. They are believed to be on hiatus after the birth of Ayana's son. Read more on Last.fm.
