1.Blue Ruin is a hard rock band from Long Island, New York.
The band started as and instrumental band with roots in classic and alternative rock, jazz and blues.

Blue Ruin recorded their first four song demo in 1991 called "Music From The Cliffs." featuring the songs, What's Inside, In The Dark, Step and Little Man, produced by Don Thomas and Creative Music Concepts in NYC.
The band continue to promote their music, performing in local bars and industry events that showcased local talent in Long Island's music scene. By 1994, Blue Ruin had written and performed 20 original songs. Songs like Breakdown, Such Little Time, Days May Never Come, Why, Brand New Face and Breakdown where just a few that had been performed but not recorded.
In 1995, Blue Ruin added lead singer Lenny Mastrandrea. Lenny brought a different sound to BLUE RUIN and inspired the new songs like Devolution, Say it All, One in a Crowd and Wings of a Dove.
The band picked up where they left off with Mastrandrea focussing on live performances, booking nearly 35 shows a year with regular spots every week in NYC's downtown music scene and on Long Island. Saturday nights you could see them at Raffles in Roslyn, New York and Thursday nights in New York City at the Lion's Dens on Bleecker Street in the Village.
In 1998, Blue Ruin entered the recording studio with over an ablums worth of new material ready for recording.
Blue Ruin has been invited to perform at various music festivals, industry showcases, and local venues. Recent invites include, CMJ Music Festival, New York City Macintosh Festival, Long Island Music Festival, New York's Hot Rock Contest.
To date, the band has recorded and released 28 songs on five EPs and one live performance CD recorded at New York City's famous CBGB's.
Currently, the band is back in the rehearsal studio with singer Adam Thomas working on old material and new.
