Before The Robots did not chart; however, it did receive moderate airplay. The album's popularity went up when Taylor Swift covered "Breathless" in the Hope for Haiti Now performance. She has also covered "Our Last Night," a few times in concerts.
"A Lifetime," the first single off the record, reached number 13 on U.S. Billboard Adult Top 40. "Our Last Night," the second single off the record," peaked at number 28 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Top 40.
