It is the only album to feature vocals by Jacquie O'Sullivan who replaced Siobhan Fahey upon her departure in 1988. This album marks the end of their association with Stock, Aitken & Waterman and it was their final album as a Trio. "Pop Life" is the also the album that marked their breakaway from mainstream Hi-NRG,and New Wave, into a more alternative Pop and Dance sound. The album is much more diverse variety of styles than any of their previous efforts ranging from Flamenco, Retro Rock, Alternative Dance to Reggae, Acid House and Eurodisco. "Pop Life" includes four hit singles on the UK Singles chart. Those singles are "Preacher Man" (#20 UK Pop), "Only Your Love" (#27 UK Pop), "Long Train Running" (#30 UK Pop), and "Tripping on Your Love" (#73 UK Pop & #14 U.S. Dance). On March 17, 2007, Rhino Records reissued the first six studio albums by Bananarama. All reissues are remastered and each album includes several remixes, B-sides and bonus tracks.
