2) Ask Embla is a darkwave band from Norway, formed by Eivor M. Raudstein (vocals), Zorkham Outré (guitar) and Øystein K. Paulsen (guitar). After Shellyz Raven split up in 2000, Ask Embla was formed as an experiment. Zorkham Outré had a couple of tracks that he made in a side project which needed lyrics and vocals. Eivor had some lyrics and they tried out a recording they both were satisfied with. "Dream" was the result of this experiment and this track can be found on their debut album. They had a web page even before their early tracks were written, and this was the time that Fluttering Dragon Records requested a demo. There was a problem since "Dream" was the only finished track, but they included a couple of unfinished tracks on the demo and mailed it a few days later. Fluttering Dragon replied quickly and offered them a contract right away. Their first release was supposed to be a split-CD with another Fluttering Dragon signed band, but after they finished some more tracks the record company decided they should release a forty five minute long CD. "Questions Asked" was released in 2001 and the response was great. They continued working on new material and didn't give live performances at all. In May 2002 their next album titled "Star Gazer" was finished and they're still waiting for the release. When the recordings for this album were done they decided the time had come for doing the songs live. They felt the need for another guitarist, and the time was just right for Øystein to join the band. Read more on Last.fm.
