AOA began their career simultaneously promoting as a dance group and band, and officially debuted on July 30th, 2012 with their first single album Angels' Story. In early 2013, the band unit AOA Black released their official single titled "MOYA" to moderate success. The group found nationwide success in 2014 after a series of hit songs that established them as one of the leading girl groups of their era, including "Miniskirt", "Short Hair" from their first EP of the same name and "Like a Cat" from their second EP. That year, the group also debuted in Japan under Universal Music Japan with Japanese versions of those hit singles. Their next Korean release arrived in summer 2015, with "Heart Attack" which debuted at the top of several charts after its release, became one of the most downloaded songs of the year, and one of the longest-charting singles on Melon's top 100 chart. AOA released their first Japanese full-length album Ace of Angels on October 14, 2015, and their first Korean full-length album Angel's Knock on January 2nd, 2017. Read more on Last.fm.
