Shortly after the release of Malibu, Paak signed with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment. On May 17, 2018 he released the standalone single, Bubblin, which ultimately won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance. His first full release for the label, Oxnard, came on November 16, 2018, and featured his first chart single, Tints (feat. Kendrick Lamar).
