Los Angeles native, AALON recorded the Album "Cream City" for Arista Records. He wrote and recorded two albums with Eric Burden for Capital records and wrote the song, "Forever Now" for Eloise Laws. In addition to major tours throughout the U.S. and Europe, Aalon has performed with James Ingram, the late Marvin Gaye, WAR, Santana, Zapp, The Moments, GQ, Evelyn Champagne King, The Gap Band and many others. His hit song, "Rockin' Roll Gangster", is currently playing on the radio due to the album re-release by Thump Records. AALON is currently performing in L.A night clubs and performs in concert with Art LaBoe shows. He has recorded his second album, " Brand New Flav", a 12 song CD for Avanza Records. Dr. Roberto Casas wrote," This album is "R&B, Jazzy Hip- Hop, with a little Latino/Caribbean soul sprinkled over the top, it's tasty ear candy". AALON's current venture is that he has hooked-up with master percussionist and band leader, DR.RITMO with his band, NIGHTLIFE, featuring AALON. This band has a great sound with frontman AALON performing in his usual sensual/soulful/funky style, but now it has a Latin flavor. Mr. Alan Anthony from Let's Talk Magazine wrote, " I caught one of their shows recently and the rythems were fantastic. The audience danced all-night and everyone had a ball." Mr Anthony stated," I had a chance to speak with AALON after the show and here is what he said about band leader percussionist "DR.RITMO". "When Bobby adds his flavors to my arrangements, they come alive. DR.Ritmo has a great touch and feel for the groove". I agree said Anthony," they were musical magic".
Alex Henderson of AMG Magazines wrote, " AALON, one of the unsung heroes 1970's Soul/Rock. AALON deserved to become as famous as Sly & The Family Stone, WAR, Parliament/Funckadelic, or the Isley Brothers....The Rock-flavored Soul & Funk that he recorded for Arista in the late 1970's, should have made him a superstar....He should have been as big as Prince or Rick James.....A native of Los Angeles, the singer, songwriter/composer and guitarist played with Eric Burdon ( WAR and The Animals fame) and in the mid-1970's forming his own band, Aalon, whose members included, Juan Luis Cabaza on keyboards, Luther Rabb on bass and Johnny Hammond on drums". He also recorded an obscure single, titled" Gettin Soul" parts 1-2, (released under, Aalon Butler & The New Breed Band). A recent recording and new version of Rock and Roll Gangster, featuring Aalon will soon be released on the new album by reggae group BETTER CHEMISTRY. Read more on Last.fm.
